Škoda Motability Scheme & Cars

To qualify for the Motability scheme, you need to be receiving one of the folllowing qualifying mobility benefits: the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA), the higher rate mobility part of the Child Disability Payment (CDP), the enhanced rate mobility part of the Adult Disability Payment (ADP), the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS), or the Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).

You must also have at least 12 months remaining on your qualifying benefit award at the time of application. There is no upper age limit for applicants, and you don't need to be the driver yourself - you can nominate up to two drivers to drive on your behalf. The Motability Scheme works differently from a standard monthly payment. Rather than paying a monthly fee directly, you exchange your qualifying mobility allowance - which is paid every four weeks - to cover the lease.

Once your lease is active, your qualifying Mobility Allowance is automatically transferred to the Motability Scheme every four weeks, so you don't need to manage any payments yourself.

Some models require an upfront Advance Payement at the start of the lease, which varies by model. Škoda Motability Advance Payments currently start from £99 for the Škoda Fabia, rising to around £4,000 for the Škoda Octavia. The package includes insurance, servicing, maintenance and breakdown cover - so beyond fuel, there's very little else to pay.

It's worth noting that Motability Scheme customers cannot buy their leased vehicle at the end of the lease - the car is returned and a new one chosen. For eligible drivers who value reliable, brand-new motoring with minimal admin, Motability is well worth exploring.

As of October 2026, the Škoda models available on the Motability scheme include the Škoda Fabia, Škoda Scala and Škoda Octavia hatchbacks; the Škoda Kamiq, Škoda Karoq and Škoda Kodiaq SUVs; the Škoda Octavia estate; and the Škoda Enyaq electric SUV.
