What’s the difference between a BEV and a PHEV?
Put simply, a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), which is sometimes just called an EV, is powered solely by an electric battery. Meanwhile, a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) has both an electric motor and an internal combustion engine.
