The Kodiaq iV’s battery can be recharged at home, typically overnight, either from a regular outlet or via a powerful wallbox for faster charging. To do so, it draws on alternating current (AC) from the mains. Each of the two charging methods requires its own separate type of cable, which can fit easily in a dedicated storage compartment in the boot.

Recharging the battery on the go is easy – at work, in a car park, at a shopping centre or at any other public charging station. No more long waits now the Kodiaq iV offers direct current (DC) charging up to 50 kW.

It couldn’t be simpler – you can recharge the battery as you drive. Regenerative braking is a process where the vehicle’s kinetic energy is converted into electricity, which is then stored in the battery. Regenerative braking therefore makes efficient use of energy and helps to increase the Kodiaq iV’s range by partially charging the battery on the way.
